Born in Auburn, NY on 16 Jun 1858 and died in New Canaan, CT on 18 Jul 1937. Acting Chaplain at the US Military Academy 1897-1898. At the outbreak of the Spanish- American War he became a Chaplain in the US Army. He was given a Commission in the Line and given command of a dispatch boat. Commander and Chaplain in the US Naval Reserve, and Commander in the Naval Militia of NJ. Captain US Naval Reserve. Saint Stephens College in Oxford MA Degree 1884.
