Great grandnephew of propositus George Walker Campbell. Assistant Treasurer of the Society of the Cincinnati in New Jersey 1891-1892. Treasurer 1893-1907. Vice-President 1907-1909 and President 1909-1924. Assistant Treasurer General of the Society of the Cincinnati for 15 years. Born in Freehold, NJ on 23 Apr 1854 and died in Freehold, NJ on 2 Nov 1928. Author of Digest and Revision of Strykers Officers and Men of New Jersey in the Revolutionary War Who Were Eligible to Membership in the Society of the Cincinnati, 1911 and “The Flag of the Society of the Cincinnati in the State of New Jersey, Rare Etchings”, 1926. Affiliated with the First National Bank of Freehold, NJ for 53 years and was President of the bank for 13 years. President of the Board of Education for Freehold, NJ 1895- 1912. Member of the New Jersey Historical Society. Married Mary Valentine on 27 Nov 1878.
