Arthur Larned Ryerson, Esq.

Grandson of propositus Thomas Ryerson. Born in Chicago, IL on 12 Jan 1851 and died at the sinking of the ‘Titanic’ on 15 Apr 1912. Attorney and member of the Bar 1900. He was able to save his family by getting his wife, two daughters and 13 year old son into lifeboat #4. He returned to the state room and continued playing cards while the ship sank. Magnate of the Joseph T. Ryerson and Son Steel Company. Yale BA Degree 1871 and MA Degree 1874. LLB Degree University of Chicago in 1872. Colombia LLB Degree 1873. Owner of Otsego Golf Club in Cooperstown, NY 1901-1912. Kappa Sigma Epsilon, Phi Theta Psi. Married Emily Maria Borie 31 Jan 1889.
