Great grandson of propositus Joshua Huntington. Treasurer General of the Society of the Cincinnati 1897-1904. Born in Newark, NJ on 24 Aug 1833 and died in Newark, NJ on 14 Jun 1904. Attended Yale University 1852-1853. Honorary member of the Class of 1852. MA Degree 1892. Worked for Morwood and Company in New York, NY and then the allied company, Morwood Brothers in Liverpool, England until 1855. Spent six months travelling in Europe. Secretary of the New Jersey Railroad and Transportation Company. Became a Director of the company 1861-1867. General Superintendent of the United Railroads of New Jersey in 1867. The company leased to the Pennsylvania Railroad Company in 1899 and he became Resident Manager until 1903. Trustee of Princeton Theological Seminary. A Manager of the American Bible Society. Trustee of the New Jersey Historical Society. President of the Board of Visitors to the US Naval Academy in 1896. A Director of the Newark City Bank 1859. Married Nannie J. Nye on 12 Oct 1859.
