Captain Cyrus De Hart

Began his service in the Revolutionary War as Ensign in the 1st Regiment NJ Line 4 Dec 1775 to 18 Sep 1776. 2nd Lieutenant 26 Apr 1777. 1st Lieutenant 4 Oct 1777. Regimental Paymaster 22 Apr 1778 to Jan 1781. Captain-Lieutenant 11 Mar 1780. Captain 20 Dec 1780. Transferred to the 2nd Regiment NJ Line 1 Jan 1781. Retained in and last served in Cumming’s New Jersey Continental Battalion from Apr 1783. Served to 3 Nov 1783. Born in Elizabethtown, NJ on 17 Jun 1757 and died in Elizabeth, NJ on 7 Sep 1831.
