Ensign William Tuttle

Began his service in the Revolutionary War as Private, then Corporal in the 3rd Regiment NJ Line 1776. Sergeant 1 Feb 1779. Ensign in the 1st Regiment New Jersey Line 15 Jun 1781. Served to Apr 1783. Born in Whippany, NJ on 5 Nov 1760 and died in Basking Ridge, NJ on 11 Jan 1836. Married Tempe Wickham about 1780. [Sources: M; H; (66); (98); (C); Rootsweb’s World Connect Project.]
