Major Thomas Marsh Forman
Began his service in the Revolutionary War as 1st Lieutenant in the 10th Regiment PA Line 4 Dec 1776. Captain of Forman’s Continental Regiment 1 Apr 1777. Served as Major and Aide-de-Camp to Major General Alexander 12 Jan 1779 to 15 Jan 1783. His service was considered to be Pennsylvania service but his descendants joined the New Jersey Society. Born on 15 Aug 1758 and died in Rose Hill, MD on 8 May 1845. General in the militia during the War of 1812. In 1814 commanded a brigade at the Battle of North Point, Baltimore, MD. Served in the Maryland Legislature, elected in 1790, 1792 and 1800. President of the Jockey Club at Pimlico, MD. His home still stands near Cecilton, MD. Married 1st Mary Porter. Married 2nd Mary Clay sometime after 1797. Married 3rd Mrs. Martha
