Began his service in the Revolutionary War as Ensign in the 3rd Regiment Pennsylvania Line from 19 Jun 1778. Retired from service on 1 Jan 1781. Born in Cumberland County, PA on 3 Mar 1755 and died in Buffalo Township, Perry County, PA on 3 Mar 1808. Married 1st Elizabeth Watts, daughter of General Frederick Watts.
