Began his service in the Revolutionary War as Cornet, then Lieutenant in the New Jersey Light Horse. Last rank Captain. Served from 1777 to 1782. Born in Elizabeth, NJ on 5 May 1738 and died 5 Apr 1790. Married Comfort Johnson in 1760. [Sources: H.]
