Captain Nathaniel Donnell

Captain Nath. Donnell

He was originally a member of the Massachusetts Society, transferred to the Pennsylvania Society and then transferred to the New Jersey Society in 1821. Began his service in the Revolutionary War as 2nd Lieutenant of Roman’s Independent Company of PA Artillery 25 Mar 1776. 1st Lieutenant 15 May 1776. Captain in Steven’s Battery of Artillery 9 Nov 1776. This company was subsequently attached to and formed part of the 3rd Regiment Continental Artillery. Served to Jun 1783. Born about 1763 and died in Philadelphia, PA on 29 May 1821. Place of birth unknown.
