Lieutenant Jonathan Snowden

Began his service in the Revolutionary War as Ensign in the 1st Regiment NJ Line 26 Apr 1777. 2nd Lieutenant 14 Apr 1778. 1st Lieutenant 26 Oct 1779. Transferred to Lee’s Battalion Light Dragoons in 1780. Wounded at Guilford 15 Mar 1781. Lieutenant and Aide-de-Camp to Brigadier General Edward Hand in the New Jersey Continental Line May 1781. Served to the close of war. Born in Bordentown, NJ about 1755 and died in West Point, NY on 25 Dec 1824. After the Revolution he served as Captain in the US Army Levies in 1791-1792.
