Surgeon’s Mate Jonathan Morris

Began his service in the Revolutionary War as Ensign in the 1st Regiment NJ Line 14 Sep 1776. 2nd Lieutenant in the 4th Continental Artillery 14 Mar 1777. 1st Lieutenant 14 Apr 1778. Resigned 28 Nov 1778. Reenlisted as Surgeon’s Mate in the General Hospital 6 Mar 1780 to Jun 1782. Also served as Surgeon in the NJ Militia. Date and place of birth and death unknown.
