Captain John Howell

Began his service in the Revolutionary War as an Ensign in the 1st Regiment New Jersey on 29 Nov 1776. 2nd Lieutenant on 26 Apr 1777. 1st Lieutenant on 29 Oct 1777. Fought in the Battles of Brandywine, Germantown, Monmouth and Yorktown. Captain on 20 Nov 1781. Served to Apr 1783. Born in Morristown, NJ on 23 Sep 1755 and died on 18 Sep 1830 in Hartford, KY.
