Began his service in the Revolutionary War as 1st Lieutenant in the 3rd Regiment NJ Line 7 Feb 1776 Captain in the 4th Regiment New Jersey Line on 28 Nov 1776. Retired 26 Sep 1780. After the war was Captain in the New Jersey Militia.
