Lieutenant James Paul

Began his service in the Revolutionary War as Sergeant in the 2nd Regiment New Jersey Line 30 Oct 1775 to Nov 1776. Served again as Sergeant in the 2nd Regiment NJ Line 15 Dec 1776. Ensign 1 Jul 1777. Wounded at the Battle of Short Hills, NJ 26 Jun 1777. 2nd Lieutenant 1 Dec 1777. Taken prisoner at Bargin Point 3 Apr 1779 and exchanged Jun 1780. Lieutenant and resigned from service 1 Jan 1781. Born in 1731 and died 30 Oct 1831. Place of birth and death unknown.
