Ensign James Johnston

Began his service in the Revolutionary War as Ensign in the 5th Regiment Pennsylvania Line 1 Jan 1777. Wounded at the Battle of Brandywine 11 Sep 1777. Resigned from service in May 1778. Date and place of birth unknown. Died 19 Dec 1842. Place of death unknown. [Sources: M; H; (98).]
