Ensign Jacob Hyer, Jr.

Began his service in the Revolutionary War as Private in the 2nd Regiment NJ Line 1 Apr 1780. Ensign in the 2nd Regiment New Jersey Line 13 May 1781. Served to Apr 1783. Born in New Brunswick, NJ on 5 Sep 1763. Died in Trenton, NJ on 10 Mar 1812. His father was Colonel Jacob Hyer, the Commander of the Princeton, NJ Militia during the Revolutionary War.
