Born in Philadelphia, PA on 4 Oct 1888 and died in Philadelphia, PA on 27 Jan 1964. Educated at Saint Josephs College. Left in his junior year to work in the freight traffic department of the Pennsylvania Railroad for 13 years. During World War I, served with the Embargo Committee, US Railroad Administration. Furloughed for military duty 5 Jul 1918. Ordered to Camp Wadsworth, SC. Assigned to the Railroad Transportation Division, Quartermaster Corps as Sergeant 1st Class. Honorably discharged 18 Mar 1919. Cunard Steam Ship Company freight representative 1919-1923. Manager of the Port of Philadelphia Ocean Traffic Bureau 1923-1929.Represented the City of Philadelphia before the Interstate Commerce Commission in Washington, DC. Member: Sons of the Revolution; Colonial Society of Pennsylvania, Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States and the American Legion. Married Frances Mary Gentry on 25 Dec 1920.
