Began his service in the Revolutionary War as 2nd Lieutenant in the 1st Regiment NJ Line on 9 Dec 1775. Captain in Spencer’s Additional Continental Regiment on 12 Feb 1777. Wounded and taken prisoner in Delaware on 5 Sep 1777 and died on 6 Sep 1777. Date and place of birth unknown. Married Rachel Frost in 1772. [Sources: M; H.]
