Began his service in the Revolutionary War as Adjutant in the 1st Regiment NJ Line 20 Nov 1775. Major in the 3rd Regiment Continental Dragoons from 8 Jan 1777. Date and place of birth unknown. Killed at the Battle of Tappan on 28 Sep 1778. [Sources: M; H.]
