The Honorable Hamilton Fish Kean

Born in Ursino, NJ on 27 Feb 1862 and died in New York, NY on 27 Dec 1941. Graduate of St. Paul’s School, Concord, NH. Member of the Republican National Committee 1919-1928. US Senator from New Jersey 1929-1935. Banker and agricultural pursuits. First joined the banking firm of J. Kennendy Tod & Company. Partner in the investment firm of Kean, Taylor & Company from 1897. Member of the Board of Directors of the Hackensack Water Company; Elizabethtown Water Company; Elizabethtown Consolidated Gas Company; Rahway Gaslight Company; West Hudson Trust Company; and Pocahontas Consolidated Collieries Company. Freemason and member of Essex Lodge #49. Descendant of the Honorary Member, William Livingston. Married Katharine Taylor Winthrop in 1888.
