Captain Jonathan Phillips

Began his service in the Revolutionary War as Captain in the Hunterdon County, NJ Militia. Ensign then 2nd Lieutenant in the 2nd Regiment New Jersey Line 20 Nov 1775. 1st Lieutenant 29 Nov 1776. Captain 1 Dec 1777. Served to Apr 1783. Born in Maidenhead (Lawrenceville), NJ on 16 Dec 1744 and died in Lawrenceville, NJ on 29 Jun 1801. Married 1st to Mary Phillips.
