Began his service in the Revolutionary War as Captain in the 2nd Regiment New Jersey Line 28 Oct 1775 to Nov 1776. Wounded and captured at the Battle of Short Hills, NJ 26 Jun 1777 and died on 13 Jul 1777 while a prisoner. Date and place of birth unknown. [Sources: M; H.]
