Began his service in the Revolutionary War as Ensign in the 3rd PA Battalion 8 Jan 1776. 2nd Lieutenant 13 Jun 1776. 1st Lieutenant in the 10th Regiment Pennsylvania Line 4 Dec 1776. Captain 12 Feb 1777. Served at the Battle of Paoli and at Valley Forge. Resigned from service 1 Mar 1780. Born in Hackensack, NJ in 1745 and died in Philadelphia, PA in 1803.
